Dr. Karras joined Cave Spring Veterinary Clinic in 1990. He is a participating/consulting veterinarian with St. Francis of Assisi Service Dog Foundation, Virginia Police Work Dog Association, Roanoke City Police Department, Roanoke County Police Department and Virginia State Police Department.
Dr. Ballard graduated summa cum laude from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 and has since worked at Cave Spring Veterinary Clinic. She is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and Roanoke Valley Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Hairfield received his degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993, and has been at Cave Spring Veterinary Clinic since. He is previous president of the Roanoke Valley Veterinary Medical Association, and member of the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and Virginia Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Edwards graduated from Oregon State University in 1989. More recently, Dr. Edwards has stepped back from full time practice and into a more managerial role with the clinic.
Dr. Kraft earned her DVM from VMRCVM in 2013. She joined the Cave Spring Veterinary Clinic team shortly after graduation. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, and Roanoke Valley Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Caitlin Bagnoli is a double Hokie, earning both her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry (2018) and DVM degree (2022) from Virginia Tech.
Dr. McCoy is a Roanoke native and joined Cave Spring Veterinary Clinic in 2018. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Animal and Poultry Science from Virginia Tech in 2005, and his DVM from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.
Dr. Jennifer Hoch is a board-certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. To achieve this distinction, Dr. Hoch completed 2 years of internships after veterinary school graduation from Auburn University in 2001.
Dr. Windon grew up in Roanoke graduated from Hollins University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology in 2016 the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine with a DVM degree in 2024.
